Chicago has been charging lately and have finally overtaken Cleveland for the division lead in the WW Rust Division.  Of a 1 game lead is nothing and can go away very quickly.  However, I'm hoping this will bring the fans to the park as our attendance has been down this season compared to last as well as our merchandise sales.

One of the biggest questions going forward will be Wilbert Berry.  Will he be happy as a set-up man?  He did not perform well last year in that role but was doing well this season before he got injured for 4 months.  His rehab appearances in AAA were not anything to write home about.  His first couple of appearances in NABL have been bad as well.  We will see what we get.  I've got Adam Darrach (2027 2nd round pick, 42nd overall) in AAA who is pitching well and seems to be ready for the show.

While we are probably one more elite arm away from being able to go deep in the playoffs, and our offense needs at least a couple of bats we have improved this year.  The goal coming into the year was to win the division and get some playoff experience.  We are in good financial shape and look to be a player in the FA market this off-season.  We are also looking to acquire some bats in the off-season via trade.  We'll see what the future holds in Chicago.
