    Fans hailed the signing of Jorge Guzmán today as the Missoula Xplorers shortstop came to terms with the club.

    Set to make $4,000,000 over the upcoming 2 years, Guzmán signed primarily out of loyalty to the organization, thrilling the most diehard supporters who think there isn't much loyalty in a market driven by free agency.

    A check of his lifetime stats shows Guzmán has played in 874 games with a .243 batting average. Among his 730 hits are 21 home runs. He also has scored 373 runs and driven in 323 runs.
