    Savannah Sand Gnats relief ace Bob Watts earned a spot in an exclusive club today when he picked up his 300th-career save in the 6-3 victory over the Boston Rebels at Rebels Ballpark. "When I pitch, it usually means we have a chance to win the ballgame, so I have to always be at my best for the team to win," the 32-year-old reliever said after stopping the Rebels on no runs and 1 hit in his 1 innings of work.

    Since making his debut, Watts has accounted for 300 saves. In 616 games, he has a 48-36 won-lost mark with 745 strikeouts in 679.1 innings.
