During the The Wild West Rust Division regular season [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.] posted a 92-70 record and claimed first place.

What's it like to win it all? "Words can't describe it," said the jubilant Thunder skipper. "It really hasn't sunk in. Maybe it will sink in when we go ride around [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.] with the trophy. Right now, it's just a lot of fun. This is the one you work for ever since you first picked up a baseball. This is what you dream of and this is what you work toward all year."

In defeat, the Pelicans manager told the press, "There's not that much difference," he said. "I know we got beat 4-2, but bad teams don't make it to the World Series. They just executed better than we did. We're a good baseball team. The Thunder were just better this time around. We'll be back again."
