    The Big East Announces #1 Player: At the age of 27, Mark Wise might have some potential he hasn't realized yet -- if his success at the plate last week is any indication. The Hartford right fielder put up some exceptional numbers the past seven days with a .619 batting average. For his efforts Wise collected the The Big East Player of the Week Award.

    He racked up 13 hits in 21 at-bats, 1 home run and 2 RBIs last week in 5 games.

    Wise is batting .341 this year with 2 home runs, 25 RBIs and 40 runs scored. He has 100 hits in 293 at-bats.
