    Everything clicked on the hill today for Blake Gibbon of the Las Vegas Blackjacks as he hurled his club to a 5-0 shutout win over the Cleveland Barons, limiting them to 5 hits while recording 4 strikeouts and yielding 1 walk. He overpowered some batters with his fastball and buckled knees with his sharp breaking pitches.

    "We had our shot at him a couple of different times," the Barons manager said, "but we weren't able to get to him."

    In pitching stats this season Gibbon has rung up 2 wins and no losses in 6 games. He has an ERA of 2.10 and has fanned 16 batters in 25.2 innings.
