The Tacoma Titans learned that Salvador Acuña is likely to be out for 4-5 months after he injured himself throwing a pitch in today's game against the Charming Sons of Anarchy. A round of tests by the team doctor revealed the injury to be shoulder inflammation. Upon hearing the diagnosis, the Tacoma manager told the press, "As you all know, we can't control injuries -- they are a part of the game. We just have to do the best we can until Salvador is back in action."
In 6 starts this season Acuña has chalked up a 3-0 record and a 3.25 ERA.
